Job Description :

  • Our client is an inter­na­tio­nal mining company seeking an expe­rien­ced and quali­fied Production Coordinator for his exis­ting opera­tions in in the South Pacific.
  • The produc­tion coor­di­na­tor is respon­sible for ensu­ring quality assu­rance and the produc­tion team meets sche­du­led goals. This entails a range of over­sight of work inclu­ding plan­ning, sche­du­ling, direc­ting and execu­ting produc­tion acti­vi­ties for maxi­mum perfor­mance of projects. Other duties include the deve­lop­ment of cost-effec­tive measures with the aim of achie­ving excep­tio­nal busi­ness practices.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate produc­tion acti­vi­ties and ensure quality assu­rance throu­ghout the produc­tion process.
  • Develop opera­tor routines and admi­nis­tra­tive tasks neces­sary to carry out the production.
  • Monitor their effi­ciency and make all the changes neces­sary for their improvement.
  • Work in close colla­bo­ra­tion with the execu­tion and plan­ning teams of the main­te­nance to opti­mize the avai­la­bi­lity of equip­ment for production.
  • Analyse shut­down proce­dures and iden­tify factors with the support process teams.
  • Liaise between produc­tion and main­te­nance teams, moni­tors and proposes main­te­nance or impro­ve­ment actions, parti­ci­pates in the plan­ning of shut­downs, etc.
  • Participate in the anima­tion of the safety approach, may be requi­red to parti­ci­pate in staff evaluation
  • Internal rela­tion­ship mana­ge­ment, colla­bo­ra­tion with key actors of the Plant Management and the trans­verse depart­ments (opera­tio­nal, processes and maintenance).

Requirements – Qualification and Skill :

  • An engi­nee­ring degree (bache­lor’s or master’s degree) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of expe­rience in in the heavy indus­try, mining or indus­trial sector, main­te­nance & equip­ment reliability.
  • Ability to manage teams consis­ting of profes­sio­nals, tech­ni­cians and workers, multiple projects.
  • Knowledgeable in project mana­ge­ment and budgeting.
  • Excellent commu­ni­ca­tion and inter­per­so­nal skills with a focus on Functional Cultural awareness.
  • Fluency in French & English is mandatory.
