Description :

• For our client, a leading inter­na­tio­nal mining orga­ni­sa­tion in West Africa, we are sear­ching for an expe­rien­ced QA/QC Auditor with fluency and tech­ni­cal working know­ledge in English and French.
• Reporting to the Site QA/QC Manager, the QA/QC Auditor is accoun­table for provi­ding assis­tance to the Site QA/QC Manager in super­vi­sing the esta­blish­ment, revie­wing, evalua­ting and audi­ting the effec­ti­ve­ness of the Quality Management System in all areas of operation.
• The incumbent will work in close co-opera­tion with the Project orga­ni­za­tion to achieve the project objec­tives. The QA/QC Auditor has inter­nal rela­tion­ships at all levels of the project. These include but are not limi­ted to Project Management Team.

Functional responsibilities :

• Assists the Site QA/QC Manager in super­vi­sing the esta­blish­ment of the Site Quality Management System for the project and all contrac­tors/­sub-contrac­tors at the Construction Site.
• Supports the Site QA/QC Manager in moni­to­ring the imple­men­ta­tion of the Site Quality Management System for the project and all contrac­tors/­sub-contrac­tors at the Construction Site.
• Provides support to the Site QA/QC Manager in defi­ning the quality audit sche­dule addres­sing all keys area acti­vi­ties, and taking part in orga­ni­zing the audits accordingly.
• Assists the Site QA/QC Manager in revie­wing, evalua­ting and audi­ting the effec­ti­ve­ness of the Quality Management System in all areas of opera­tion, to verify confor­mance of acti­vi­ties to quality assu­rance stan­dards, method state­ments requi­re­ments and construc­tion speci­fi­ca­tions, for the project and all contrac­tors/­sub-contrac­tors.
• Conducts inter­nal audits by obtai­ning quality assu­rance person­nel check list, obser­ving and asking worker ques­tions pertai­ning to job func­tions, reading quality records, such as worker logs, speci­fi­ca­tion sheets, etc., to verify that records adhere to quality assu­rance specifications.
• Conducts audits of each contrac­tor/­sub-contrac­tor by obtai­ning quality assu­rance person­nel check list,  obser­ving and asking worker ques­tions pertai­ning to job func­tions, reading quality records, such as worker logs, speci­fi­ca­tion sheets, etc., to verify that records adhere to quality assu­rance specifications.
• Assists the Site QA/QC Manager in conti­nuously moni­to­ring the Project Quality Management imple­men­ta­tion and high­light any nega­tive trend from quality perspective.
• Assists the Site QA/QC Manager in conti­nuously moni­to­ring the Site Quality Plan imple­men­ta­tion until the end of the project by conduc­ting regu­lar follow up and mana­ge­ment reviews.
• Maintains and files all quality records, proce­dures and statis­tic inclu­ding audit reports, NCR and NCR logs.

Required experience and qualifications :

• The posi­tion requires an engi­neer in any field or an indi­vi­dual with tech­ni­cal back­ground in project quality management.
• 10 years mini­mum expe­rience in inter­na­tio­nal projects and QA/QC is required.
• Strong commu­ni­ca­tion skill is a must as is initia­tive and a progres­sive change attitude.
• The incumbent has the autho­rity to raise concern on quality issues pertai­ning compliance to project procedures.
