Job Description :

• We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support the fina­li­sa­tion of studies, the deve­lop­ment of our project’s Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and subsequent construc­tion activities.
• Reporting to the General Manager Operations, the role is requi­red to manage, deve­lop and lead the studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and all FEED contracts for the deli­very and opera­tion of the project.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure all acti­vi­ties are under­ta­ken safely in accor­dance with the compa­nies’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.
• Lead the Project team to deli­ver the FEED within project budget and timelines.
• Lead the procu­re­ment and contrac­ting process.
• Manage studies targe­ting capi­tal and opera­ting impro­ve­ments to the project.
• Develop the project execu­tion plan, lead recruit­ment process for project delivery.
• Prepare and present regu­lar project progress updates for the board in conjunc­tion with project announcements.

Requirements – Qualification and Skill :

• Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering (civil/electrical/mechanical/process).
• Minimum of 15 years’ expe­rience in senior leader­ship posi­tions with exten­sive expo­sure to project mana­ge­ment and design of signi­fi­cant metal­li­fe­rous projects.
• Exposure to design and construc­tion of hydro­me­tal­lur­gi­cal refi­ne­ries would be highly regarded.
• Adaptable approach to work with astute time mana­ge­ment and cross-cultu­ral commu­ni­ca­tion skills
• Expatriate expe­rience in Africa will be highly regarded.
